You’re turning 65
Almost everyone qualifies at 65 if you’re a U.S. citizen or legal resident of 5+ years. Part A is usually premium-free if you or your spouse worked 10+ years.
You’re under 65 with a disability
You may qualify after 24 months of Social Security Disability benefits, or right away with ALS or End-Stage Renal Disease.
You’re still working at 65
With qualifying employer coverage you may delay Part B without penalty and enroll later — the right move depends on the employer’s size.
You have Medicaid too
If you qualify for both Medicare and Utah Medicaid, you may be eligible for a Dual Special Needs Plan with extra benefits.
